After a successful career as a Building Services Engineer, Cyril was looking forward to a long and happy retirement with his beloved wife Valerie when she was taken from us too early. In her latter days the whole family benefitted from the amazing care provided by The Hospice of St Francis and Cyril went on to volunteer for them for over 15 years.

In so many ways the Hospice made the rest of Cyril's life a happy time, as it made him valuable to people in need, gave him a social life and helped him make lots of good friends that he would never have had otherwise.
